Flying with Children
Passengers aged 5 to 15 years but not yet having turn 16, may travel alone or make use of the unaccompanied minors service that will take the utmost care of your child from the departing airport, through all necessary formalities, in-flight and finally to handing your child over to designated parents/guardians at the arrival airport. A return fare will be incurred for the airline representative escorting your child. Requests for this service must be made within 72 hours of flight departure. Children under the age of 5 years are not permitted to travel alone.
Adults travelling with two infants must have a CRD or personal car seat for the second infant with one infant being over 12 months and capable of sitting in a separate seat. A CRD seat can be obtained from the airline at no additional cost.
Pregnant passengers up to and including their 28th week who have no complications are not required, but recommended to have on hand, a medical certificate. Those at the start of their 29th week up to the end of their 32nd week must provide a medical certificate. Single pregnancies with no complications from the start of their 33rd week to the end of their 35th week are required to provide a medical certificate and a MEDIF form. Multiple or complicated pregnancies in their 33rd week and beyond are not acceptable for flight including expectant mothers in their 36th week and beyond.
Qatar Airways will do their utmost to accommodate passengers with impairments that require assistance including those travelling with escorts or service dogs. These requests should be made known to the airline when booking.
Passengers requiring a specific meal, whether for dietary or religious purposes have a wide selection of special meals to choose from. The airline should be notified when booking and within 24 hours of flight departure.
