Besides booking cheap flights through a travel agent or standing in a queue at the airport, getting your airline ticket couldn’t be easier! All you need is your I.D. or passport, pop into the nearest ‘Shoprite’, ‘Checkers’ or ‘MediRite’ pharmacy (in selected stores only) and go to the Money Market counter. Airports in South Africa were operated and owned by the state until July 1993 when ‘ACSA’ (Airports Company South Africa) was firmly established.
